A few little updates from us, including some changes to our pricing, cat grooming appointments and senior pet care.
Price Adjustment
We’ve been riding the wave as the costs of products, bills and running our salon have continued to rise, but it’s come time for us to make some adjustments so we can continue providing the very best care your pets deserve.
Our new price list will be available on our website here for you to review from Thursday 13 August 2026.
The new prices will come into effect from Monday 24 August 2026.

Cat Appointment Times
Previously, our cat grooming appointments allowed for up to two hours.
After Annie travelled to Queensland for further intensive cat grooming training and spoke with fellow International Cat Groomers about appointment structures, the consensus was that cats really benefit from having more time available to them for the calmest possible grooming experience. This means we have the flexibility to let cats decompress before getting started, give them breaks when needed and avoid feeling rushed.
Please note, we now allow up to three hours for cat grooming appointments, giving us more flexibility to work at the individual cat's pace and continue to put their welfare first.
More Flexibility with Cat Pick-Up Times
With our longer cat appointment windows, we're also allowing a little more flexibility with collection times for our cat clients. You'll still receive a text message once your cat's groom is complete asking for collection within 30 minutes, and prompt collection is always appreciated.
However, many cats are quite happy to relax quietly in the safety of their carrier while they wait, so we're allowing our cat owners a little more flexibility with pick-up times.
Please keep in mind that once your collection message has been sent, your groomer will have moved on to their next appointment, and the longer they are here the higher chance they may need a toilet break! For this reason, we still ask that you collect your cat as soon as reasonably possible after receiving their message and let us know if you need more time.
A little note about our pick-up text: This is an automated message used for all of our grooming clients and is primarily worded with our pooch clients in mind. So cat parents, don't stress when you see the request for collection within 30 minutes!
Senior Pet Handling Fee
As pets age, our focus during grooming increasingly shifts towards their health, comfort, practicality and safety.
Senior pets are groomed with these priorities in mind:

Simplified grooming: We avoid fancy or complicated styles, de-matting and hair colouring where these are no longer appropriate.

Minimising stress: We aim to complete the grooming process as calmly and efficiently as possible.

Specialised care: We use aids to support sore joints and mobility and employ Fear-Free handling practices.

Gentle drying: For older pets, we may modify or avoid high-velocity drying and instead use gentler towel and hand-drying methods where appropriate.
Senior pets often require slower handling, additional rest breaks, extra support while standing, modified grooming techniques and increased monitoring throughout their appointment.
With this in mind, a Senior Pet Handling Fee of $25 will now apply. This fee helps cover the additional time, care and precautions required to groom our older friends as safely and comfortably as possible.
The Senior Pet Handling Fee applies to:
- Dogs aged 13 years+
- Cats aged 14 years+
- Rabbits aged 6 years+
- Guinea Pigs aged 5 years+

We’ve Been Keeping a Little Secret…
Over the past year, Ada has been quietly learning and apprenticing in cat grooming alongside Annie!
Ada has worked with us on the dog grooming side for quite some time, but it quickly became clear she had a special talent for cats. Coming from a family involved with Selkirk Rexes and Cornish Rexes, she has grown up living and breathing cats. Annie has been blown away by her depth of feline knowledge and her incredibly natural, calm handling skills.
Cat grooming is a specialised craft that few groomers venture into or if they do, are actually capable of! So it has been one of Annie’s greatest joys to share her knowledge with Ada and discover just how talented she is.
We expect Ada will begin offering some of our minor cat grooming services independently by the end of the year, while continuing her education through international cat grooming institutes.
