GROOMER POSITION

This position is for an experienced groomer. We do not mind how many years you've been grooming (although it is considered) so long as you show good skill as a groomer.

This position can be full-time, part-time or casual. This position is paid an hourly rate and not commision based (although we do provide incentives.) Renumeration based on skill level and experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Someone that takes pride in their work 
  • Ability to work with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
  • Ability to work independently
  • Uses gentle handling techniques 
  • Has excellent customer service skills (friendly interaction with customers is a requirement)
  • Is reliable
  • Grooms dogs beautifully
  • Knows how to de-mat painlessly, fluff dry and line brush
BONUS POINTS

The following are not required but people with these skills are preferred:

  • Knows how to groom to the breed standard. E.g. knows how to do a schnauzer or a Westie in traditional groom styles
  • Can hand-strip
  • Knows how to "create content" for social media. This can be as simple as taking nice photos, creating reels, or having a digitally creative flare.
  • Any extra qualifications or courses completed e.g. fear-free training, workshops, certificates
  • Extra bonus points if you can groom cats!
